Foundation
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 10, 2026
Foundation is an internal field inspection app for appraisal teams that use MethodApp. It is not a consumer product and is not offered to the general public. This policy describes what the iOS app collects and how that information is used.
What we collect
Foundation does not collect personal profiles, contacts, location history, advertising identifiers, analytics events, or other user data from your device. The only content the app collects is photos you take while using it during an inspection.
The app may ask iOS for camera access so you can take those photos. You can refuse, and you can turn camera access off later in iOS Settings. Foundation does not browse your photo library unless you choose to attach an existing picture yourself.
How we use photos
Photos are attached to the inspection you are working and sent to your firm’s Method workspace so the office can produce the appraisal. They are used only for that work — not for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sale.
Who can see this data
Inspection photos stay inside Method and the appraisal firm that issued your access. We do not share them with advertising networks, analytics vendors, or other third-party SDKs. If a related company or service provider helps operate Method, they may process the same photos only to run that workspace, and they are required to protect them to at least the standard in this policy.
Retention and deletion
Photos are kept with the inspection file for as long as your firm needs them for the assignment and its records. Foundation does not keep a separate personal photo archive on our side.
To stop the app from taking new photos, turn off camera access in iOS Settings or stop using Foundation. To ask that existing inspection photos be removed, contact the person who manages Method at your firm, or send a request through Foundation support. We will work with your firm to delete what we can.
Accounts
Access is issued by your appraisal firm. Foundation does not offer public sign-up and does not build a consumer account from the app.
Children
Foundation is a workplace tool. It is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 17.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of Foundation after a change means the new policy applies.
